On Wednesday March 15, 2023, Mr. Aung Zaw Aye, Chief Minister of Shan State, participated in the opening ceremony for the MRI Unit at Myat Taw Win Hospital in Taunggyi Shan State. Dr. Myat Kyaw, Director of Shan State Health Department and Dr. Min Htet, CEO of Myat Taw Win Hospital attended the opening ceremony, with the attendance of high officials from the local institutions.
This MRI system will cover the southern districts of Shan State and will be able to provide a wide spectrum of diagnostics for patients and will help professors and doctors in the Medicine and Health Sciences Faculty to make useful researches.
In addition to other highly updated medical equipment that have been installed in different diagnostic departments to improve the quality of medical checkups and to increase the cost effectiveness including the reduction of the referral to Yangon and Mandalay and its running costs.
